Which tags should I use ?

Hello all,

I've just created my first blog

I'd like to add tags to my posts in order to maximize webranking and traffic.
However when I started reading and googling about it, I found that there seemed to be many solutions to achieve this.

From what I have read Meta Tags don't help, but Description Meta Tags could, and so could Dynamic Meta Tags.

Also I read that the NoFollow structure of Blogger blogs is bad for webranking : what do you think about it ?
How could I switch to DoFollow ?

I wrote some new Dynamic Meta Tag code that, does a lot more. I can make my Labels (keywords) show up in my blogs Google SERP (Search Engine Results Page), you can read more details on my blog Blogger – Dynamic Meta Tags Part-1.

Here is a screenshot of my New Blogger Meta-Tag code in action, notice the SERP Title & Description, then go to that blog post, & have a look at that pages HTML source-code/Meta Tags. The Meta Tags are the same as my Google SERP.

I also wrote custom code that handles my Blogger Archive pages.

Everything in the screenshot below, is all Meta Tag content from my blog, every blog page is unique & dynamic content.

You could try that code, see how it works out for your blog.

With all my Meta-Tag testing over the last month or so, I've found that If you plan on making changes to your Meta-Tags, & want to see If the results will show up in the Google SERP, it's best to make your Meta-Tag changes, then do a blog post. This will get Googles attention, & you'll have a better chance of Google crawling your blog ASAP.

This has worked very well for me.
