Want to start a blog for my Lacrosse Team

but I am not experienced at this kind of thing. I will spend some time looking through the boards but in the meantime if anyone has any helpful suggestions I'd love to hear them.

My initial questions are:

1. What is the best host?
2. Are there some templates better suited to sports teams?
3. Does it cost money?

I know these sound like simple questions but I feel like I am way in over my head here!
