Unexpected font changes

Copying my latest blog entry from a Word document into 'compose', has changed the font. It looked ok in 'compose' but totally different on the finished page. Now it's all caps and in a different font. Highlighting the text and trying to change it using the stationery doesn't work. I've also tried copying from an unformatted version (also in Word), and from a notepad document, with similar but slightly different results. The font used to stay the same when I used my wife's Mac as long as I copied the text into Text Edit first and then into blogger. Is it because I'm using an old version of MS Office? (Google tells me "This Help Centre is not currently available in your language", which is English, so that's suspicious)
