Need Info on RSS Widget

Howdy Guy's and Gal's,

A few friends of mine (and me) have got together to create a soccer blogging empire. We all have our own blogs, but will be part of a main network, which can be found on FootballBlag.com.

Now, our plan is to have a widget that uses RSS to display all the latest content, e.g.:

Blog 1 - Latest Article
Blog 2 - Latest Article

Is there such a widget? At the moment, I have added each blog's RSS feeds individually, but it doesn't look nice at all.

Any ideas folks?

Kind regards,
Jaymes

what do you mean with "it doesn't look nice at all"

You can change the CSS of the widget to make it look better, what do you have in mind?

Re: Need Info on RSS Widget

Hi Gyms and thanks for getting back to me.

I have attached a screen shot of what I would like http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/6769/foo ... enshot.jpg

As you can see, I want to make it look as though all the different feed widgets are one and not many stacked together.

Let me know if you or anyone can assist me on this. I would be eternally grateful if someone could assist me.

Kind regards,
Jaymes

Re: Need Info on RSS Widget

Just to be sure:

Your blog url is : www.footballblag.com ???

Can you tell me the name of the template, and where to download, or send me the template code to work with, so i can find a solution.

Also i will need to you to create a "Blog List" widget on your blog followinf these steps:
1- On Title Change the name from "My Blog List" to "Latest Posts in our Network"
2- On Show select "All Blogs" and select only these options "Title of most recent item" and "Date of last update"

One you are done with that you will need to start to add the blogs of your network in this way
1- Click on the "Add a blog to your list" link and type the blogs address one by one, you must type the feed address so the addres will be for example http://www.mcfcblog.com/rss.xml Note the end of the address.

Once you add all the address of your network, check and edit the titles of each feed aded to the widget.
For example the address http://www.mcfcblog.com/rss.xml will have an address like "Manchester City Blog" if you dont like that name, you can click on the "rename" link beside the address and edit the name of the feed to something like "News from the Manchester City".

Once you are done with all the edits save the widget, and save the changes.
Now check the results in your blog and see if you like or not, you may also test to select other options on the widget configuration like :
"Snippet of most recent item" = a small summary of the latest post of the blog aded to the widget
"Thumbnail of most recent item" = no need to explain
"Icon" = the icon of the blog, since your blogs in your network have a custom icon, i think you may like to check that, (sometimes can happen that instead of your custom icon, the feer reader will inser the blogger icon, if that is the case, there is nothing to do about.

Check all, once you are done let me know if you need to change something in the way that the widget looks in your blog.

Remember: fo me to hel you i will need to you to let the widget running on your blog, and i will need the template code, or where to download the template, as it make much more easy for me to change edit and fix things.

I hope that help.
