navigation bar in my charcoal template

hi everyone..

i was using the charcoal template for my blog account after uploading it i want to change the navigation bar i just follow this instruction 1. Changing the top navigation links to your desired links.

top navbar Go through the template code till you see this piece of code
<li class="'current'"><a href="#">Home</a></li><li class="'current'"><a href="#">Pictures</a></li><li class="'current'"><a href="#">Videos</a></li>
and Change the Anchor text and the respective links (#)

i do like this
<li class="'current'"><a href="http://www.blogger.com/rearrange?blogID=4286029629700073371&action=editWidget&sectionId=content&widgetType=null&widgetId=Text1">Home</a></li>

but a message appear like this

or i do like this
<li class="'current'"><a href="http://www.blogger.com">Home</a></li>

a message appear like this when i click the button Home

I to am using this template and I'm having a hard time with the page links on the navigation bar. How to you edit the HTML so that when the link button is clicked it goes there instead of reloading the current page?

I'm new at this ans I'm lost at the editing thing any help would be great...
