How to survive malicious adsense attacking?

Hi guys,
I have had adsense running fairly well for a month or so, all was going well with adsense until a few days ago when I received about 50 clicks with only about 30 page views. Obviously this isn't normal. I informed google about it and removed all my ads, and I haven't been banned so I can only guess everything is ok with them (so far).

However, I run 4 blogs altogether and the next day I received another silly amount of clicks on one of the other blogs. Again, I removed all the ads and informed google. I also removed all the ads on the other sites as well.

The things is I don't really know what to do about this, how long should I leave it before putting ads back up? I really want to start them again but I am very worried about getting click attacked again.

What do you do in these situations? I have statcounter set up now but I don't know what to be looking for really.
